For many teleworkers, one of the perks of telework is being able to set up a home office exactly the way they want it. There's a lot to consider before painting walls and buying office furniture. Don't spend a lot at first. Some people who sign up for telework change their mind after a few months. That could happen to you. Once you are sure that you will continue with telework, you can get more serious about the home office. Also, after teleworking a few months you will have a better sense of how you want things arranged. Consider also, how frequently you will be teleworking. Someone who works from home most of the time will probably need a larger space with more equipment and more storage than someone who teleworks only occasionally.
